Welcome Dear Parents and Carers, It has been a lovely but very warm week at Heartsease Primary Academy. This week we have been able to celebrate many children taking part in Bikeability, it is such an important skill for children to have in life. We also loved the athletics event held in school and it was great to see so many children from Heartsease Primary Academy as well as from other schools taking part. So many children have taken home RESPECT awards which is so lovely to see, please do remember you can attend celebration assembly on a Friday afternoon to see more of the positives that happen in school during the week. If your child is receiving an award you will be sent an invitation to attend assembly. Have a lovely weekend. Mrs G Guy Executive Headteacher

Unity Schools Partnership is delighted to announce that we have received some grant funding from the Anguish’s Educational Foundation to support our school. The Trust, of which we are a member school, applied for funding under its charitable foundation to start a Happy Top Up Shed for our families. The project will provide food, warm clothing and bedding, relief from period poverty and energy support. Our knowledge of our families, and the trust between our pupils and families and the school, allows us to provide effective immediate support to help against the ongoing cost of living crisis. Children who have their most immediate needs met will attend school more frequently, engage more and achieve better outcomes. Children who feel the school cares will experiment, commit and be more resilient. Unity Schools Partnership and our wider school community would like to thank Anguish’s Educational Foundation for their support.

Welcome Dear Parents and Carers, As we reach the end of this half term, we want to take a moment to reflect on the achievements, resilience and growth for the children. From classroom successes to extracurricular triumphs, our students and staff have shown incredible dedication and resilience. This half term also marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our school. We are delighted to welcome our new Executive Headteacher, Mrs Guy, and Deputy Headteacher Miss Gillard who join us with a wealth of experience, a passion for education, and a deep commitment to nurturing every child’s potential. Mrs Guy has already begun meeting with students, staff, and families, and is eager to build on the strong foundations of our school community. In her own words: “I am honoured to join such a vibrant and caring school. I look forward to working together with you all to continue creating a place where every child feels valued, inspired, and empowered to succeed.” As we head into the break, we encourage everyone to take time to rest, recharge, and enjoy time with loved ones. We look forward to returning refreshed and ready for the exciting opportunities the next half term will bring. Wishing you all a safe and happy break. Warm regards, Mrs Jo Brown Director of Education
