Year 6 had a brilliant trip to Duxford as part of our WW2 topic. Despite the drizzling, cold weather, we walked the full length of the airfield and were really impressed with all the different types of planes that we saw. We enjoyed exploring parts of the museum such as the Battle of Britain and the Operations room. We even got to go inside a Concorde! As part of our workshop, lead by a WW2 veteran, we became History Detectives and had great fun identifying artefacts from WW2 and experiencing what life was like. The children represented our school brilliantly and a special thank you to Mrs Ruff, Mr Wilsea, Mr Chapman, Mr Riches and Mr Burgess who kindly gave up their time to help on our trip.
