Year 6 National Standard Assessment Tests (SATs) will take place during the week beginning 14th May2012. It is vital that all pupils are in school during this week as standardised testing will take place in all year groups. SATs cannot be taken outside of this week.

We understand that it is sometimes difficult to take holidays during the school holidays. Permission is required from the headteacher to take children out of school for holiday in term time. A holiday form must be submitted, clearly stating the reason that the child needs to miss school. The headteacher will look at each case and decide if absence can be granted, using a scale of criteria. Parents are asked to note, that taking children out of school in term time will impact on the child’s education. The headteacher is only able to authorise up to 10 days in any one school year.
